Torrecom
Latin America's wireless sector was fragmented and underserved. There was an insatiable demand for data and a market gap for a dedicated, independent tower platform capable of niche Build-to-Suit (BTS) projects.
Co-founded Torrecom. Navigated complex regulatory environments to enter Mexico, Central America, and the Andean region. Spun off Andean assets to create Torres Unidas with Berkshire Partners.
Built a portfolio of 1,700+ towers and a pipeline of 3,000 sites. Successfully spun off and sold Torres Unidas (1,600 towers) in 2017 while retaining and continuing to grow Torrecom. Validated Indigo Capital's ability to build large infrastructure platforms from scratch. Today, the industry is protected by significant hurdles for new competitors. Building new towers is difficult and costly. This makes existing tower portfolios difficult to replicate.
